![]() In addition to performances in nearly every major concert hall in New York City - including Carnegie Hall (numerous appearances), Avery Fisher Hall, Alice Tully Hall, and Jazz at Lincoln Center's Rose Theater - Jim has served as principal trumpet in orchestras at Aspen, Cape Cod, Houston, New York, and Italy. Jim was the trumpet soloist on the original Olympic-style theme recordings for Major League Baseball's World Baseball Classic. Other recent recordings include music for trumpets & organ at St Patrick's Cathedral, an upcoming release with Chris Brubeck & the Gramercy Brass Orchestra, and Hem's recent album "Departure and Farewell." Jim's studio recordings - including projects for Koch International Classics, Newport Classics, and Disney - have aired on ABC-TV, Fox TV, ESPN, VH1, and NPR. Recently, Jim was heard on Broadway via his recording as principal and solo trumpet in Lincoln Center's Tony-Award-winning production of War Horse. Jim has been the featured trumpet soloist with the Norwalk Symphony, the Metro Chamber Orchestra and One World Symphony. Trumpeter Jim Lake is an active orchestral performer and recording artist. ![]()
